Blending Cleveland History with Modern Tastes

This month, we’re looking at one of our past projects, One University Circle. This building is the first, brand-new construction high-rise in Cleveland in 40 years. I had the opportunity to tour the building and check out the lively neighborhood.

RICH HISTORY
One University Circle is a 20 story, 276-unit apartment building. It’s placed in the middle of rich Cleveland history. University Circle takes its name from the last trolley stop. The trolley stop was at Euclid Avenue’s Millionaires Row. In fact, the design of the building pays respect to the original trolley turnaround. The original trolley turnaround was at Euclid Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. It also happens to sit on the former site of the Children’s Museum.
SIGHTS AND SOUNDS
Various attractions surround One University Circle. Spend an afternoon in the Cleveland Art Museum. Learn about Earth’s history at Cleveland Natural History Museum. Surround yourself in nature at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Enjoy a night at Severance Hall with the Cleveland Orchestra. Little Italy will be sure to fulfill the rest of your adventure-seeking appetite.
You’ll never been without a view at One University Circle. The building overlooks Wade Oval, Severance Hall, downtown Cleveland, and Lake Erie. You’ll also be able to enjoy some people watching with Case Western Reserve nearby.
THE CHOICE DIFFERENCE
Choice Cabinet partnered with Panzica Construction to supply the cabinets. Our Multi-Family Division knew we had to make an impact. We designed a full overlay, Shaker-style door with two stain options. The two options were cherry and walnut. The Shaker-style door blends well with the modern interior and amenities.
Since One University Circle has 276 units, we knew we had our worked cut out for us. One University Circles offers apartments from studio to three-bedroom. We worked with the contractors to make sure we were on schedule and budget. The project was able to stay on schedule with our 12 to 14-week lead time. We also ensured that cabinets went to right unit with our tag and label program.
