Giving Back with Habitat for Humanity
By Ryan Horvath
Giving back and building a stronger community is part of our company culture. We enjoy partnering with other companies and organizations that have the same values. We are proud to announce our donation to the Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity.
Plan Before You Renovate
A Brief History
Habitat for Humanity was the brainchild of farmer and biblical scholar Clarence Jordan. Jordan’s vision was to build affordable houses for those in need. Together with Millard and Linda Fuller in 1976, Jordan founded Habitat for Humanity.
In 1984, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter with his wife, Rosalynn, joined Habitat for Humanity. The Carters helped raise the organization’s awareness and move their mission forward. Habitat for Humanity works in “1,400 communities across the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries”.
The Wrap-Up
During August, Choice Cabinet is donating to the Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity. We will be donating our cabinets and trim. This is a great way for us to give back to a community that has supported our business and growth. We also feel that helping those less fortunate is a tremendous way to build a stronger community.
